Final watercolor illustration created with Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop and printed with Canon 9500 MarkII on Arches Watercolor Paper and then hand painted with Windsor & Newton watercolors.

By working directly on top of the fine art printout I am able to add artistic effects quickly with pens and brushes. The photo on the right shows a dry brush over a coffee splatter!
About This Project
The "Furgus" project was a fast need it now kinda thing for a New Years Eve/Birthday party for friend from Ireland. The illustration needed a vintage vibe as if it was from the early 1900's. I have fantastic technique for creating "real" watercolors by using a combination of Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Canon 9500 MarkII printer along with Arches watercolor paper, pens and watercolor inks. The Canon inks respond great to traditional watercolor techniques and blend and flow like the best watercolor paints. The process has quite a few steps and involves digital and real world fine art skills but the result is outstanding... and a little frustrating.
